The Bownesians
Debut CD
RPI designed the debut CD for The Bownesians. Though the band has existed since 2000, played countless community events and pool parties for the City of Calgary, and since their first gigs have had requests for their non-existent CD, this wasn't a project they forced in the traditional way and preferred staying low-key.
In the past two years however, The Bownesians have won songwriting contests sponsored in part by the Calgary Folk Festival. With those achievements, the demand mounted so they independently produced their initial, official CD.
RPI's Brandi was central to the CD's excellent design coherence and layout. The cover was illustrated by Tom Bagley.
We also helped with marketing for the band's public CD release event called The Bownesians' Picnic on July 19, 2009 at Baker Park in Calgary.
